چکیده
malabsorption could be a risk factor in the development of these diseases. Because bacterial metabolism alters folic acid status and intestinal bacterial colonization is altered by nutritional factors and carbohydrate malabsorption syndromes, dietary measurements should not rely solely on folic acid supplementation but should also consider carbohydrate malabsorption syndromes, especially fructose malabsorption. It is suggested that fructose malabsorption be considered in the elderly with folic acid deficiency. Further studies will be necessary to compare not only folic acid concentrations but also homocysteine, vitamin B12, and hematological indices in patients with and without fructose malabsorption.

Production and Evaluation of Polyclonal Rabbit Anti-Human p53 Antibody Using Bacterially Expressed Glutathione S-transferase-p53 fusion protein
p53 is a key tumor suppressor gene that is targeted for inactivation during human tumorigenesis. In this study, we produced and characterized polyclonal antihuman p53 antibody. The cDNA encoding the completehuman p53 protein was cloned into pGEX-4T-1 and expressed in Escherichia coli as a fusion protein with Schistosoma japonicum glutathione S-transferase (GST). The rabbits were immunized...
متن کاملPrevalence of anti-HBc in HBsAg negative blood donors using two enzyme immunoassays kits
Abstract Background and Objectives Use of kits with high sensitivity and specificity to determine the prevalence of antibodies against hepatitis B virus (anti-HBc) core antigen is important. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of hepatitis B virus antibody in HBsAg negative blood donors using two anti-HBc enzyme immunoassay kits (DIA.PRO and SIEMENS). Materials and Methods...
متن کاملComparison of Enzyme Immunoassays for Detection of Antibodies to Hepatitis D Virus in Serum.
Serology remains critical for diagnosing hepatitis D virus (HDV) infection, which affects 15 to 20 million people worldwide, but the literature on characterizing commercial enzyme immunoassays (EIAs) dates back to 15 years ago. We evaluated 2 commercial EIAs currently available for detecting anti-HDV antibodies. The DiaSorin assay demonstrated 100% sensitivity and specificity. Using a modified ...
متن کاملComparison of sensitivity and specificity of anti-CCP and anti-MCV antibodies in an Iranian cohort of patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Background: Anti-CCP is a test commonly used for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. The aim of this study was to determine the diagnostic values of ACCP compared to anti-MCV in rheumatoid arthritis patients in north of Iran. Methods: The serum samples of 150 RA patients and 75 controls, with the mean age of 49.6+11.8 and 48.8+12 years respectively, were tested using the commercially availa...
متن کاملConstruction and expression of recombinant streptolysin-o and preevaluation of its use in immunoassays.
Commercially available immunoassays for assessment of anti-streptolysin-O antibodies use native streptolysin-O obtained by a complex process. We prepared a biologically active recombinant streptolysin-O with higher yield and a simpler purification process. An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay developed with this recombinant showed good correlation with a commercial test, suggesting that it coul...
